In this example detailing project we combined several pages of engineering and architectural details to create the structural components as a 3D model. This process quickly revealed several inconsistencies that we were able to work out easily in the 3D model as compared to expensive field changes and compromises. 

Then we were able to create separate shop drawings for framers, iron workers and finish carpenters showing exact dimensions, angles and layouts. Since it was on the computer we were able to readily manufacture the complex rafter pattern on our CNC router.
